The GSVN program is carefully designed to enable students to enjoy the best learning experiences. In the 14 days of the program, the students will have great opportunities to explore Ho Chi Minh City through its perspectives of arts, music, cuisine, and attractive sites.
Additionally, they will learn about the Vietnamese wet rice culture through a two-day field trip to the Mekong Delta. Activities in the Mekong Delta include visiting a local farmer’s house, tasting seasonal tropical fruits while amateur singers perform the traditional folk music, taking hand-rowing sampans along small canals, or participating in fish catching experience, etc.
The program offers a diverse assortment of short but comprehensive lectures mixed with field trips guided by academic experts, and fascinating hands-on activities/workshops. The practical-theoretical integration design of the program will ensure that the students will have a panoramic view of the thousands of years of Vietnamese culture in a short period and having fun at the same time.
Educational experts at VNUHCM have designed a unique GSVN program based on many years of experience with organizing youth travel to offer the students best learning experiences. However, IEI-VNUHCM is willing to work with its partners to customize the two-week program to best meet individual partners’ needs.
