These fun and informative events are all about making friends and learning what it means to be an IEI-er. The Institute has specifically designed and organized these events to enhance student experience, and enrich their personal perspectives to help them be better prepared for future career paths.

Orientation events:

• Opening ceremony of new academic year
• Welcome week (includes academic seminars and exciting outdoor activities)
• Skills training sessions (e.g. critical thinking, application of information technology in learning and daily life, etc.)
• Charitable activities and volunteering
• Field trips to historical sites, discovering cultural relics
• Outdoor and team-building activities (e.g. improve students’ teamwork skills and enhance their personal growth)

Education at IEI is more than just coursework. IEI focuses on promoting students’ personal development. Therefore, besides theoretical lessons in class, students are strongly encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as:

• Sports Competitions
• Outdoor adventures in Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City
• Yakult Vietnam’s factory tour
• Charity Trip to Dieu Giac Pagoda
• A visit to Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music
• etc.

Being a part of these activities helps students develop and master essential soft skills in the 21st century (i.e. skills of Leadership, Communication, Creativity, Problem Solving, and Management).

Through social work volunteering such as Spring Volunteer Campaign, and The Lovely Moonlight, IEI students have not only developed a strong sense of community, but they have also had countless opportunities to:
