Nowadays, students not only need to have excellent academic records, but they also need to be proactive and more mature.
That is one of the objectives which IMRT is guiding the students towards. We hope younger generations to become more international, fully integrating with multiple experiences and to gain practical knowledge for self-confidence development. Some have successful done this through working on their soft skills, securing internships and working in different industries from an early age.
On 25th April 2019, IMRT had the honor of inviting Ms. Huynh Cao Yen Phuong (M.B.A.) – Former National Learning and Development Manager of Accor Hotel & Melia Hotels. Freshmen and second-year students at IMRT were welcomed to join her workshop on resume writing and interviewing skills.
The workshop includes both theoretical and practical knowledge that she would love to share with them, some of which are as follows:
- Job search and job application on relevant recruitment channels
- Things to consider before applying for a job
- Job interview tips (i.e. techniques for answering interview questions, how to impress a recruiter)
- Practice answering interview questions in both Vietnamese and English
Ms. Yen Phuong’s great sense of humor has helped the students to be more relaxed, leading to effective mock interviews based on a real-world opening position. IMRT believes the workshop has boosted student confidence and motivation even further, so that they will become more aware of their strengths – providing a higher-quality labor force, shaping the future of Viet Nam.
