In the afternoon of September 18th, the Board of Directors, all the officials and employees of International Education Institute (IMRT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh (VNUHCM) have attended an announcement ceremony to appoint a new vice president of IMRT.
The Board of Directors has stated Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh to be the new vice president of IMRT since 10/9/2019. Ms. Bui graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from University of New South Wales (Australia), as well as acquired a Master’s Degree from National University of Singapore and successfully defended her Doctoral Thesis at Griffith University (Australia). Prior to the appointment, she was a professor and head of the International Relations department at International University – VNUHCM.
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan – Vice Chancellor of VNUHCM and President of IMRT, then came forward to deliver a speech. He placed emphasis on the important role of HR department to the institutional development and expressed his expectation of the new vice president of IMRT. He believes with in-depth knowledge and years of experience, Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh would be able to bring new ideas and concepts into the existing training programs and enrollment system, enabling the fundamentals for sustainable growth.
Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh then gave her speech as the new vice president of IMRT. She mentioned some concerns about taking on the position, yet her belief in meeting the set objectives and completing the assigned tasks with the solidarity, and consensus of all the officials and employees at IMRT.
