IMRT – VNUHCM WELCOMED ALL STUDENTS TO THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2019 – 2020

09.09.2019

International Education Institute – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (IMRT – VNUHCM) welcomed all students to the opening ceremony of the new academic year 2019 – 2020 on 9th September 2019 at Information Technology Park, Thu Duc District.

We had the honor of inviting Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan – Vice Chancellor of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) and President of IMRT – VNUHCM, Dr. Alayne Thorpe – the Dean for the School of Distance Education and International Partnerships at Andrews University (the U.S.). The ceremony also took place in the presence of all cadres, lecturers and more than 100 students of IMRT.

Dr. Alayne Thorpe – as a representative of Andrews University (AU), has delivered a speech on her appreciation of the established affiliate networks, giving students a chance to study and work in a supportive and highly effective learning environment. AU and IMRT – VNUHCM have researched and unanimously agreed to an education plan which integrates technologies more extensively to speed up the learning process. She believes that with such educational system and adequate facilities, student achievement would be maximized, bringing more positive values to the community.

Nguyen Nguyen My Han – a first-year undergraduate student who has received the scholarship for the Bachelor of Business Administration program then came forward to give a speech. She described IMRT as a lively yet friendly environment to be in. The chosen program appears rather innovative and appealing. Despite being taught in Viet Nam, the program is conducted the same way to that of America and English is the official language of instruction at IMRT. She perceived this to be an incredible opportunity to hone her language skills and eventually, achieving her study abroad goals.

He expressed his joy for being able to join the IMRT family, and he wished everyone all the best ahead.

Mr. Vo Hong Long

IMRT is a part of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. With over 20 years of experience in researching and operating affiliate programs (both undergraduate and graduate), IMRT has set itself apart with well-trained lecturers who graduated from reputed universities around the world, and are fully qualified in the expertise. Besides, IMRT is also known as one of the most prestigious institutes that offer English training programs for students who want to prepare for English proficiency tests like IELTS. We also provide consulting as an additional service if one seeks for study abroad information and advice.

There are 5 affiliate programs IMRT is providing at the moment: Bachelor of Business Administration (Andrews University, the U.S.), Bachelor of Information Technology (University of Turku, Finland), Master of Business Administration (Andrews University, the U.S. and PGSM, France) and Master of Informatics (University of Bordeaux, France). Furthermore, IMRT always aims to keep up with the changing technology around the world, and future expansion plan to even more countries such as Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Students can be assured that the affiliate programs conducted at IMRT are recognized and monitored regularly in both Viet Nam and partner countries. After graduation, students will be awarded certificates/degrees by the respective partner universities, and these are deemed valid worldwide.

IMRT students are taught in 100% English with a mix of theoretical lessons and practical sessions. The programs are especially designed with core modules already being placed in first-year studies, speeding up the progress. Also, students at IMRT receive the same privileges to those at VNUHCM.

Regarding the undergraduate affiliate programs, students are free to choose between completing their studies in Viet Nam and being transferred to the U.S./Finland in stage 2 of their studies. With the graduate affiliate programs, students are taught by both Vietnamese and foreign lecturers, yet they will complete their studies in Viet Nam but the timetable would be flexible as it is designed for workers.

IMRT’s objective is to offer programs that are practical and up-to-date with today’s changing professional environment. Students who have graduated from affiliate programs are well-trained and educated with basics to advanced knowledge, as well as practical skills (i.e. teamwork, presentation and foreign language skills) to succeed in an international organization. This opens doors of opportunity for students to pursuit higher education, become a researcher or work as a professional at developed countries.
